Fingon: *decides to go wing it*
Fingolfin: *is curled up in a chair in his study, reading*
Fingon: *pokes head in* I'm sorry. I don't know what else to say but that's about all I can think of
Fingolfin: *doesn't look up from the book* It's a start.
Fingon: I dont know what you want for me to do
Fingon: I mean I seriously don't have a clue right now
Fingolfin: *sighs and puts the book down* You could start by actually coming to talk to me instead of hiding at the opposite side of the room.
Fingon: How was I supposed to know you'd want that? *comes in*
Fingolfin: Common sense? *raises an eyebrow*
Fingon: I thought you hated me now
Fingon: I mean you act like you do
Fingolfin: I don't exactly like you right now, no. But I'm still your adar. I still love you.
Fingon: *seems unconvinced but nods*
Fingolfin: I... *considers, speaks more softly* I saw your talk with Manwe.
Fingon: did you?
Fingolfin: I did. Manwe himself came and dropped off this strange glowy box so I could see it.
Fingon: Oh *nods*
Fingolfin: *stares straight at Fingon* We used to be able to speak like that.

Fingolfin: *sighs, realizing he's going to have to be the one to make this work* -I- miss that.

Fingolfin: ...It would be nice to get back to.

Fingolfin: Which would work better if you could say more than three words to me.
Fingon: Well what do you want me to say? I mean I can't think of anything

Fingolfin: *slips out of his chair and walks over to Fingon* Stop giving me reasons to be angry at you.
Fingon: *sighs*
Fingolfin: *pulls Fingon into his arms and hungs him tight* You are such an idiot and I'm so fucking angry at you right now but I never want to let you out from under my sight again.
Fingon: I know you are. I'm sorry.
Fingolfin: *slight smirk* I promised An I wouldn't yell. Am I doing ok?
Fingon: Yeeah
Fingolfin: Look. I'm willing to give you a chance to prove yourself, if you're willing to take it.
Fingon: How?
Fingolfin: Surprise me. I shouldn't have to tell you everything.
